Familyway II 2000
A video sculpture, single channel, 3mins 30 secs (continuous play) colour, no sound, 4 feet x 3 feet
Video projection, London Bricks
The key to Familyway II is in the media used. The bricks represent the
everpresent notion of money, mortgage and sustainability. The softly projected
digital moving image of the human family with their backs to the audience
represent the fleeting, fragility of human existence. The intention is to
present a contradiction in the human passage, alluding to the ideas of writer
Erich FrommsTo Be or to Have.
This work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in London, Moscow
and New York
